Outflow closure
he patented inflow closure guarantees safety in an emergency. It closes the inflow into the separator differently than in typical solutions (float closures) that cut off the outflow. Inflow closure operates independently of the density of the separated oil both during the continuous work and during an emergency. The closure closes the separator when the oil tank becomes full (AWAS-HI-2000) during continuous operation. The waste water still being supplied to the separator swells only from the inflow pipe side. This solution has a number of advantages:
• prevents the swelling of the separated oil in the separator,
• protects against the escape of petroleum derivatives from the separator.
Additionally, the removal of the effects of a failure is cheaper and less complicated in comparison to traditional separators. AWAS inflow closure conforms with the Technical Approval AT/2004-08-0217 issued by the Institute of Environmental Protection.
